When to stop.

Its sometimes really hard to know when a person has reached his/her breaking point. When I say breaking point, I mean breaking down point. Its like alot of people around us today, seem to be so stressed up , which is ususally caused by demanding parents most of the time. Like how we always say, the internet is a free world, or should I say, a place beyong any freedom restrictions, a place where only we can express our thoughts freely. But that is really not so true in today's world, especially when you live in a city-state island country of Singapore.

Born and raised in the city-state country/island of Singapore, its really hard to express your thoughts freely. Often we have to think about what are the consequences of giving out certain remarks, how our thoughts will caused us to be sued by others, it always causes me to feel really tied up, like how one feels when you are bounded by ropes around you. I believe many of you out there will agree. Recently being rated the fastest paced city in the world, really explains alot to you. We are born into a society where basically, the best and only the best results are expected of you. When you're born, you're expected to learn how to walk within the shortest period of time, after which when you reach the age of 2, most parents will pack their kids of to play school, where at the age of 2, you're suppose to learn, to prepare you for nursery life. Ain't that just stressfull? When you reach the age of 6, you are expected to prepare yourself for primary education, and from primary one onwards, you are suppose to prepare for battle. This battle comes in 3 basic stages, the PSLE which determines which secondary school you go to, if you happen to achieve lousy grades, you automatically go to a neighbourhood school, and all relatives will just look you down, point fingers, comparing results, until the next stage of battle arrives. Everyday is just filled with homework and more homework! This is hardly called a chidlhood! Pls someone define what a childhood is? Its like in this country, what defines how people view you is your grade. From the very moment you step into primary one! Ain't it just so ridiculous! Most people are unable to get themselves to perform to their best of abilities because, at a mere age of of 7, on performing lousy for their exams, they are told that they will to be able to achieve greater things in the future. Is this how we want our next generation to grow up in? Think again! I really don't know why I'm rattle all this out, but I guess this is partly due to the things that seem to take place to the people around me.

I think sometimes, parents just go way out of line, and they themselves do not know when is the right time to stop, causing lotsa kids to channel their stress and pressure placed on them, to different channels, like binge eating, depression and more. Its like, haha true, I don't suffer from all these effects, but then, its like this society really expect too much from us, we do not have the time to stop and enjoy our lives, before continuing. By stopping, people would brand you as crazy, weird, lazy? Its just so ridiculous!

And how parents tend to invade their kids privacy, I really think those parents should really watch it! How can you expect your kids to show you the amount of respect you request of them, when you yourself, don't even posses that basic amount of trusts in your kids, and not to say respsect! Really man, if they were to be another law to be written, I think it is to ban parents from invading their kids privacy. And also how they seem to be unable to keep secrets, how do we even trust them! Really man, these adults really are in need of a lesson in life!
